Tineco model comparison
Tineco A30S, A50S or A90S: which changes the routine?
Choose the Tineco A-series by what changes in your routine
The A30S, PURE ONE A50S and PURE ONE A90S share an upright-to-handheld cordless format, smart-sensing language and a motorized floor brush. That resemblance can make the model names look like one simple ladder. In practice, the three US packages differ in what the head senses, how the tube reaches below furniture, which small tools are documented, how the machine is stored, and the size of the cup it carries. Start with those tasks, not the highest headline number.
A30S: a large carried cup and a simple headlight
The A30S is the least complicated answer when you want a nominal 1-liter bin, a mixed-floor brush and a wall-mount charging location. Its official page lists an LED headlight for visibility in corners and under furniture, ZeroTangle brush language, iLoop dirt sensing and a 2-in-1 crevice tool. Its manual identifies an on/off button and Eco, Auto and Max settings. What is not established is that its ordinary LED headlight performs the specific fine-dust-revealing role named for the two higher models’ sensor brush heads. If that distinction is essential, do not let “LED” substitute for the feature you need.
The maximum runtime headline is up to 60 minutes, without a complete mode-and-tool condition in the product listing. Tineco’s own 1-liter specification is useful, but the cup remains manual to empty. The wall mount asks you to plan a place on a wall; it is not a collection station. A30S can suit recurring floor pickup and quick handheld tasks, provided your storage and disposal expectations match that simpler arrangement. Read the A30S review for its exact boundaries.
A50S: sensing plus an under-furniture hinge
The A50S retains the one-liter bin and raises the manufacturer’s maximum runtime headline to 70 minutes. Its 3DSense Power Brush is explicitly presented with DustSense, EdgeSense and LightSense. That combination makes it the clearest of the three when you value both an illuminated head and named edge sensing on a mixed-floor path. It also has a foldable tube advertised to bend 180 degrees, which can help reach low spaces without switching to a handheld nozzle. Measure the furniture opening: the hinge does not change floorhead height.
The A50S store page calls its published suction figure 185W; that is not the same unit as A90S’s 270 air watts. Treat both as manufacturer specifications, not comparable measured pickup scores. Its manual lists a wall mount and foldable tube for the A50S series and reminds buyers that several components are merely compatible options—check the exact carton before expecting extra tools. It is not an auto-empty model. The A50S review separates the documented features from unresolved bundle details.
A90S: expanded attachments, smaller cup
The A90S uses a 3DSense Master Brush with DustSense, EdgeSense, floor-type sensing and a green dust-revealing light. Tineco gives it a 270AW rating and 0.8-liter dustbin. The smaller cup is a real counterweight to the higher advertised suction specification; anyone cleaning long or debris-heavy routes should consider bin checks and emptying as part of the routine. Its maximum 105-minute figure is specified for Eco mode with the 2-in-1 crevice/dusting tool, not continuous use of the motorized floor brush in Max.
Among these three, the A90S has the strongest documented above-floor package: Tineco’s exact US product page lists a Mini Power Brush, FlexiSoft Nozzle, 2-in-1 Crevice Brush and charging/storage stand. Its manual shows a freestanding base with holders for the vacuum and accessories. That is useful if upholstery and mattress work recur and you would rather not install a wall mount. It still does not automatically empty its dust cup. A powered mini brush is not a guarantee for every upholstery fabric; follow tool instructions and try delicate materials in a hidden area. Read the A90S review for its storage, weight and material cautions.
How the choice changes with your answers
- Mixed hard floors and carpet, large cup: A30S and A50S each have a one-liter published cup; the A50S adds named EdgeSense and LightSense plus the foldable tube.
- Fine-dust visibility is essential: the A50S’s LightSense and the A90S’s green dust-revealing light are the explicit matches. The A30S has an LED headlight, but its page does not establish that same dust-reveal function.
- Under-sofa reach: compare the A50S and A90S folding tubes, then check floorhead clearance and side-to-side movement at home.
- Furniture or mattress pickup: only the exact A90S US page in this group documents the included Mini Power Brush. Do not infer one from a Pet name or a compatible-accessory picture.
- Automatic disposal: none of these A-series configurations is an automatic-empty station. Compare the separate Station 5 or Station 5 Pro package and keep the tower container separate from the handheld cup.
Numbers and upkeep that need context
The manuals list the A30S and A50S bins as 1 liter and the A90S as 0.8 liter. In US quarts, that is about 1.06 versus 0.85; both are nominal capacities, not time-to-fill predictions. Tineco’s runtime figures are maximum claims with different levels of test-condition detail. The A90S manual lists 650W rated power, while A30S and A50S manuals list 500W; input power is not a household cleaning result. None of these numbers replaces a review of the exact floor route.
All three are dry vacuums for indoor use, not machines for wet floors or standing water. Bins, filters and brush rolls still require care; washed parts must be thoroughly dry before reassembly. Exact carrying weights are not used here because the “Item Weight” values on the product pages do not consistently establish the assembled-stick measurement a shopper would carry. When weight is a strict condition, ask the seller or manufacturer for the exact configuration’s basis rather than substituting a shipping or storage-system figure.
Finally, the official US store marked these exact offers unavailable/backordered at the time of research. That is a stock note, not proof that the models are discontinued or ready to ship. Confirm exact SKU—VS1D0500US, VS201300US or VS270100US—current availability and included tools at the retailer. If an offer uses a different suffix, resolve its carton before relying on these package assessments.
