A useful fit for

Carpet-and-hard-floor routes with automatic disposal and the explicitly included passive Pet Multi-Tool.

The main tradeoff

The supplied fabric tool is not motorized, the wand is straight, and conflicting old/current weight tables do not establish a precise carried-stick limit.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Can automatic emptying and a named passive pet tool coexist in the supplied package?

Yes. The current exact US offer lists the auto-empty dock and Pet Multi-Tool together, plus one battery and the mixed-floor nozzle.

Does its 1.3-liter base prove a carried cup of at least half a quart?

No. The current comparison gives the separate hand cup as 0.41 US quart; the station volume does not increase it.

Can button controls and standing charging/tool storage be supplied without two batteries?

Yes. The US series guide describes power/mode buttons and crevice storage on the floor dock; the current carton explicitly supplies one battery.

The Shark Clean & Empty BU3521 makes sense for a mixed-floor home that wants automatic disposal and a named passive Pet Multi-Tool in the same package. The current White and Peacock Blue offer should be checked by model and tool list: older photographs and specifications describe a different-looking BU3521, and the shared name does not settle every measurement.

One floor head, with a deliberate AUTO choice

The current box lists a Compact PowerFins nozzle with FloorDetect, a straight wand and storage clip, one battery, and the automatic emptying dock. The head supports carpet and hard floors. FloorDetect adjusts brushroll speed for the surface, which is useful when moving between a room's floorboards and rug without exchanging the head.

AUTO has a specific purpose here. The US BU3000/BU3500 guide describes ECO, AUTO and BOOST as separate choices; ECO and BOOST do not keep automatic floor adjustment active. For a room with alternating surfaces, AUTO is the coherent choice. If you switch to another mode for a particular task, remember that you have changed how the machine responds, not simply selected a different battery indicator.

A useful tool distinction for fabric furniture

This offer explicitly supplies an eight-inch Duster Crevice Tool and Pet Multi-Tool. The latter is a passive attachment, not a miniature motorized brush. It gives a fabric-cleaning option without requiring a separate purchase, but it should not be chosen to satisfy a requirement for a powered upholstery head.

Consider the furniture task before deciding how much that inclusion matters. Cleaning loose debris from a chair cushion, working along a seam, and removing embedded hair from a whole upholstered staircase are different workloads. For the first two, the exact supplied tools may be the attraction. For a motorized small-tool requirement, compare the Tineco Station 5 Pro. For an automatic-dock package with ordinary upholstery and crevice tools, the BU3626 is another option. Neither comparison turns one attachment into the other.

Plan for both bins

Shark's current comparison lists a 0.41-US-quart hand cup and a separate 1.3-liter base. The dock handles the transfer after cleaning; the base eventually needs disposal. That is a reduction in repeated small-cup handling, not removal of every dust-related chore.

The US series guide describes an approximately fifteen-second evacuation followed by charging. Let that cycle finish before lifting the vacuum away. It also calls for dock-filter cleaning and complete drying before reassembly, so choose a storage position that makes the base accessible. A tower squeezed behind a door may be convenient for putting the vacuum away yet awkward when the larger bin needs attention.

The runtime headline is a handheld condition

The maximum forty-minute figure uses ECO and a non-motorized tool at the hand vacuum. Powered-floor cleaning in another mode is a different load. The supplied single battery also means that a second charged pack is not part of this particular buying proposition.

That matters most if several tasks must happen back to back. A short kitchen-and-rug session with a return to the dock is different from cleaning bedrooms, stairs and the car before guests arrive. If two supplied batteries are essential, compare the LG A925KSM and decide whether manual emptying is an acceptable trade. Keep the battery requirement separate from the convenience of automatic disposal.

Resolve the version details that affect your home

The current page names Rotator White and Peacock Blue; older official BU3521 material shows a Magenta version. Current weight and dimensions also differ from that older material without a clear carried-stick measurement. Neither set should settle a strict lifting limit. Ask for the assembled vacuum's weight and the actual stored footprint if those are purchase constraints.

The straight wand does not provide a bending joint for reaching under furniture. The series controls use power and mode buttons, while the display reports operating and battery states rather than particle counts. Ordinary LED headlights also should not be treated as a dedicated fine-dust-revealing beam.

Choose BU3521 when mixed floors, automatic disposal and the explicitly supplied passive fabric tool fit the daily routine. Choose a different configuration when you need a powered mini brush, a bending wand, two batteries in the carton or a verified low carrying weight. Confirm the finish and listed attachments together so an older product photograph does not stand in for the current offer.
