Tower and battery routine
Automatic tower, compression or a second battery?
An automatic emptying tower, a debris-compression lever and an extra battery solve three different interruptions. Choose which one matters before comparing cordless packages by the largest runtime headline.
The tower handles debris after docking
LG A931KWM and A937KGMS supply automatic emptying towers. The vacuum deposits collected debris into a disposable bag after docking. That changes the emptying routine, but you still replace bags, maintain filters, clear blocked passages and clean rollers.
Kompressor is a separate manual lever in the vacuum. Use it as instructed while the appliance is stopped. It compacts collected debris; it does not wash the bin, clear every hair tangle or replace the tower bag. A stand that only charges a vacuum does not gain automatic emptying from the presence of a compression lever.
Count the batteries actually supplied
A931KWM supplies one quick-release battery. A937KGMS supplies two. Their sixty- and 120-minute maximum figures use Normal mode without the powered floor nozzle, so those numbers do not promise the same duration on carpet with a motorized head.
Two packs let you swap and can let one charge while the other is in use. That does not necessarily mean two docked packs charge simultaneously. The retained A937 tower guide describes charging the main battery before the auxiliary pack. Check the actual station's sequence and allow for charging and safe cooling before planning another session.
Compare a simpler stand fairly
A925KSM pairs two supplied batteries and Kompressor with a simpler charging stand, leaving manual bin emptying to you. That can fit someone who wants spare power and mixed-floor coverage but has no good place for a larger automatic tower.
A923KGMP is another useful comparison for a one-battery stand package. Compare the exact current tools and nozzle, not just the family name. Older sheets may show a different floor head, while a generic manual may include accessories absent from the carton.
Reserve space for service, not just storage
A tower needs a suitable electrical connection, secure installation and access to its bag and tool doors. Follow its own anti-tip and clearance instructions. Do not plan around shipping mass or the bare handheld body's weight when you need to carry the complete stick upstairs.
Start with mixed floors and automatic emptying, then add two supplied batteries if a spare is essential. Read the exact model review for the supplied small tools, material restrictions and maintenance routine.
