Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Can its one attached head cover hard floor and carpet without a nozzle change?
Yes. The exact PowerFins head is described for both surfaces and FloorDetect adjusts brushroll speed as the surface changes.
Explore this need in the finder →Can the same wand bend beneath furniture while the light serves a hard-floor route?
Yes. The IZ380 guide documents MultiFLEX reach and says IZ382H Dirt-Reveal illuminates hard floors only.
Explore this need in the finder →Does this exact base box avoid an automatic-emptying dock?
Yes. The exact in-box list is a manually emptied cordless vacuum with tools; no emptying station is included.
Explore this need in the finder →Shark PowerPro Flex Reveal Plus IZ382H review: a flexible one-battery mixed-floor stick
The IZ382H is the base PowerPro Flex Reveal Plus package: one removable battery, one PowerFins floor nozzle, an 8-inch crevice tool and an upholstery tool. The useful combination is not a claim that this is the right vacuum for every task. It is a practical match for a home where one head must travel from hard floor to carpet, the wand should bend below furniture, and a second battery is not part of the requirement.
One head for the floor transition
Shark describes the PowerFins nozzle for carpet and hard floors, with FloorDetect adjusting brushroll speed as the surface changes. That makes the head easier to plan around when a rug interrupts a kitchen or hallway: you do not have to keep a second floor nozzle ready merely for the transition. The manufacturer lists a 10.4-inch cleaning path. That is a cleaning-path figure, not a separately confirmed measurement of the head’s outside width.
The extra light needs a narrower explanation than the phrase “reveals hidden dirt” suggests. The IZ380-series owner guide identifies Dirt-Reveal as an IZ382H feature but says its light illuminates the path on hard floors only. On a mixed-floor route, the head can cross both surfaces while the illumination claim is limited to the hard-floor portion. If carpet illumination is essential, do not assume that this is a lit carpet head.
Reach and conversion are part of its routine
MultiFLEX gives the wand a joint for reaching under furniture and folding the vacuum for more compact storage. It is a useful choice when the target is a clear path beneath a sofa or bed, not a guarantee that every low gap is reachable: the floorhead still needs physical clearance, and obstacles can prevent a straight pass. The handheld unit detaches for shelves, stairs and furniture, and the included upholstery tool is the ordinary fabric attachment named on Shark’s exact box list.
The controls are similarly straightforward. The guide describes a power button for on and off, with a separate trigger used for a temporary power boost. It therefore does not require a held trigger for normal operation, but the boost function is not a continuous-power setting. Choose another package if a powered miniature upholstery brush or a specifically named Pet Multi-Tool is essential; the IZ382H carton does not list either one. Shark lists its Pet Multi-Tool as an add-on, which is not evidence that it ships with this SKU.
Plan around one battery and a manual dust cup
The product page advertises up to 50 minutes measured at the hand vacuum in standard mode. That maximum is not a promise of 50 minutes with the powered floorhead on carpet, or in boost. The series guide says a full battery charge takes about three hours and explains how to remove the pack and charge it separately. The IZ382H box lists one battery. If the important job is to continue after that pack runs down, compare the exact IZ382HBAT extra-battery package; do not read its longer headline back into the single-pack offer.
Both packages retain the same listed 0.8-quart dust cup and manual emptying. A second battery changes how you can schedule a session, not how much debris the cup holds and not what happens when it is full. There is no automatic emptying station in this exact box. For a household whose main frustration is emptying collected dust, compare a documented Clean & Empty configuration such as the Shark BU3521, while checking its distinct tools and smaller hand cup rather than treating the dock as a bigger carried bin.
Care and limits matter more than an anti-wrap headline
Shark describes the brushroll as self-cleaning and designed to prevent hair wrap, but the owner guide still tells owners to inspect the brushroll and clear trapped debris when needed. Its maintenance plan includes rinsing the dust cup, rinsing filters with water only, and letting parts dry fully before reinstalling. The guide specifies foam and felt pre-motor filters and a post-motor HEPA filter. Shark’s filtration claim is tied to ASTM F1977 capture of particles 0.3 microns and larger; the company defines allergens in that claim as non-living matter. It is a published specification, not a promise about a person’s symptoms or an independent home-air test.
The page lists a 9.33-pound weight without clarifying the measurement configuration, so it cannot safely answer a strict assembled-stick lifting limit. If a verified carry weight is essential, use a model with an explicit assembled measurement rather than treating that listing as one. Choose IZ382H for a flexible mixed-floor route, its hard-floor Dirt-Reveal light, and a single supplied pack. Require IZ382HBAT when the second pack is the point; choose another model when automatic emptying, a powered sofa brush, or a confirmed lifting-weight ceiling is more important.
